Exceptional Family Member Program
The
Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) at the U.S. Army
Garrison in conjunction with other community resources provides
comprehensive support services. EFMP coordinates medical,
educational, housing, community support, and personnel services
to families with special needs.

Services
offered are:

Enrollment
- The EFMP Coordinator is available for guidance in the
enrollment process.

Program Briefings
– Briefings to command, troops and the community about the
program are available.
·
Workshops for families who have special needs
– EFMP offers information and awareness workshops targeting
specific areas such as physical, educational and emotional
disabilities.

Parenting Classes
- Designed
to help parents deal effectively with their children with
special needs.
·
Respite care
- Providing parents some time away from continuous child care.
·
Information and Referral
- Information and referral to agencies in the community that
provide services to families with special needs.
·
Coordination of Recreational Services
- Identifying and coordinating with local recreation services
for special need families (member id provided).
·
School and Special Education liaison
- The EFMP Coordinator serves as a liaison to the local school
districts for families with children who have special needs. |
