We are affiliated with both the Boys &
Girls Clubs of America and with 4-H. Our program is currently
offered as a middle school afterschool program at Mount Clemens
Jr. High and Anchor Bay Middle School South, while we offer care
during the summer and school breaks at the Warren Woods
Administrative Building and the Detroit Arsenal Child
Development Center.
We
provide consistent and predictable services to eligible youth
through a comprehensive framework consisting of the Four Service
Areas:
1. Sports, Fitness & Health Options
2. Life Skills, Citizenship & Leadership
Opportunities
3. Arts, Recreation & Leisure Activities
4. Academic Support, Mentoring & Intervention
Services.
The essential Components of Army Youth
Development:
Youth feel a sense of BELONGING through
interaction with caring adults in a safe and inclusive
environment. Youth develop skills through learning opportunities
while gaining self-confidence and experiencing SUCCESS. Youth
contribute to their communities and affect change through
meaningful SERVICE to others. Youth participate in experiences
that foster INDEPENDENCE and active engagement in the future.
