VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTION

 Army Family Action Plan

Detroit Arsenal, Warren, MI

Position:  Delegate

 Purpose:  To serve as a delegate for a specific Army Family Action Plan (AFAP) workgroup at the annual U.S. Army Garrison Detroit Arsenal conference.

 Supervisor(s):  AFAP Program Manager/ACS Director

 Duties:

• Attend required volunteer training

• Objectively review identified issues

• Obtain pertinent information from Subject Matter Experts

• Respect and listen to other work group members

• Develop & prioritize issues using Issue Paper Checklist

• Choose top 3 issues within workgroup

• Vote for the 6 Critical Active HQDA AFAP Issues

• Report out top issues to leadership

• Complete conference evaluation form and provide to Program Manager

 Time Required: One (1) two-hour training session, 1.5 day conference, time needed to review issues.

 Qualifications: 

• Good verbal communication skills

• Organizational skills

• Ability to stay on task

 Training: 

• AFAP Delegate and Workgroup Training
